Our First Workshop: A Huge Step Forward (Even on a Tiny Budget)

This weekend, Project Pathway hosted our very first workshop — and let’s just say, it was a bunch of laughter, learning, and loops!
Over 20 people dropped in throughout the event, and the room was buzzing with curiosity and energy. We taught the basics of print statements and loops in Python, and it was amazing to see how quickly the kids caught on. For many, it was their first time coding — and by the end, they were confidently writing their own mini-programs. Hearing people say things like "That actually made sense!" or "Wait, this is kind of fun" made all the preparation feel worth it.
That said… fundraising-wise? Let’s just say we got a reality check.
We raised $50, which isn’t much — especially for our goal of bringing access to technology and education to underserved communities in India. We realized that nicely asking for donations isn’t always enough. But that’s okay. We learned a lot, and now we’re brainstorming new ways to connect, inspire, and explain why this mission matters.
This first workshop wasn’t about the numbers. It was about people. About making small steps. And about showing ourselves that we really can do this.
We’re more excited than ever to keep growing — with better strategies, better fundraising, and more amazing workshops to come.
Stay tuned 💻✨
